Being pregnant can be an exciting and stressful time in a woman’s life. During this time, a woman experiences many body and mood changes. Sometimes, the worries about a baby’s birth can even prevent you from getting enough sleep each night. No matter what, it is always important to try to feel good and relaxed during your pregnancy and the tips in this article may be able to help.

There’s a good chance that you’re experiencing quite a bit of tiredness and some achy muscles. To relax your muscles and feel better overall, visit a masseuse and get an hour long massage. If you do not feel comfortable taking off your clothes for a massage, you can ask if you can leave them on or you can use an electric massage chair instead.

While you’re pregnant, you might notice your skin starting to feel a little tight and dry. It is very important to moisturize more than once a day. This will make you feel much more comfortable and will also help prevent stretch marks. Try using cocoa butter or some other thick body butter or lotion.

It is important to keep yourself hydrated, so make sure you drink a good amount of water each day. You can also drink sugar free juices, fruit smoothies, and teas that don’t contain caffeine. Eating lots of whole grains, vegetables, and fruits is also a good idea. This will provide you with lots of energy and is also good for your baby.

Go shopping for maternity wear that you enjoy wearing. If you feel good in your clothes, you’ll feel better overall. Maternity clothes today can actually look very trendy and come in a wide range of fits, patterns, and styles.

If you find that you are losing sleep and that the skin around your eyes is losing its luster, try investing in a good eye cream. Lancome eye cream is a good choice for many women. Though it can be a little pricey, many woman swear by it and are very happy with the results they achieve with the cream.

Invest in a pair of very comfortable shoes and try to stay away from high heels at all times, especially during the final trimester. Wearing a good pair flat shoes, like a pair of women’s brown boots, will keep your back, feet, and legs feeling good.

Though things might be very hectic during your pregnancy, you should always take the time to make yourself feel good. Pampering yourself a little will make you much happier and make your pregnancy less stressful.

Whether you planned it or not, you are pregnant. That is a wonderful thing, but it can be a very scary time for the mother to be. The body goes through so many changes that you might not know what to do. Keep in mind that others have gone through this too. We know what you are going through.

At first you think about what you are supposed to do. What do you eat? How much do you eat? Everyone says that they have answers for you, but any doctor will tell you that there are no two exact same pregnancies. Therefore, you take the tips that people give you and apply them. You see if they work for you. If not, then you move on. Yet, it is time consuming.

You begin to wonder just how good of a parent you will be. There are reasons for this. You think of things that friends encounter with their children then you think to yourself how I will ever handle that. Kids have all sorts of doziest and you have to be prepared. Are you ready? The answer is no woman ever is. You just buck up and go on. Then you begin shopping and see that every toy you look at even baby bath toys has age restrictions.

You watch your belly protrude to a rather large size that everyone calls a baby bump. When in all reality, you know that it is huge. You begin to think that everyone has a conspiracy to make you feel good. You wonder if you are that hormonal. Nevertheless, you just keep telling yourself you are almost there. You can make it.

When you notice dry skin and stretch marks you cringe. Let the dry skin care solutions commence you think to yourself. Which gladly enough other women have developed just the right items for this! Your emotions become out of whack. One minute you could be laughing. Then, out of the blue you are crying. You might even be mad at the world. All this is normal. Trust us when we tell you this. It is normal to feel this way.

While you think that you have lost all hope, you should know that many women feel this way. You are not alone when it comes to these feelings. You learn to trust people even though you are getting advice from all angles. That is when you refer to the parenting classes that are offered and the many other resources made by the professionals that you learn to trust throughout your pregnancy. Help is there for you, you just have to look for it and reach for some.

While pregnancy is hard, you look at what is to come. When you watch that child eventually graduate. Then you think of what he or she will make of themselves. There are some things that can help you when the going gets tough. You will make it. You just have to have the will power to do so. Yes, we know it is hard. Many of us swear that afterwards we would do it over, but as we are walking around with this big belly we swear the other way around. It is all worth it in the end when you hold that precious being in your arms. Remember, you are not alone and you will do just fine.

Stretch Marks – What's The Best Method Of Treating Them?

While stretch marks aren’t a serious medical condition, they can often be a source of frustration and embarrassment for those who have them. Most women will be forced to deal with them at some point, and they can be caused by many different things. If a person gains weight suddenly, or gets pregnant, or has dry skin or lives in a dry climate, they have a much higher chance of getting stretch marks.

Stretch marks happen when the top layer of skin gets a series of microscopic tears in it, and as it heals it is left with a wrinkled and misshapen appearance. While they often subside over time, some do not go away at all. They can be prevented by not gaining weight suddenly, and adopting a good skin care routine, but some people are forced to get surgery to correct them.

The other reasons that someone may get stretch marks are: extremely dry skin, continued cycles of weight gain and loss, and malnutrition. All of these things can make the collagen and elastin in your skin deteriorate, and your skin will be less resilient- leading to stretch marks. Read a little further for some good tips on treating and minimizing stretch marks.

Exercise on a regular basis. It increases circulation to all parts of the body (including the skin, keeping it supple and toned). A workout that makes you break a sweat keeps your pores clear of toxins, which will stimulate the skin’s natural renewal process.

A vigorous workout will reduce overall stress and help to balance your hormones, which we all know can lead to more elastic and toned skin. That’s something we could all benefit from!

Make sure you use a good moisturizer, preferably one that contains vitamin E. It can not only prevent stretch marks from forming, but it can also treat ones that are already there. Choose a moisturizer that is rich in cocoa or shea butter, and apply it twice a day, every day. It’s good to apply it right after a bath or shower, because that seals the moisture into your skin.

Eat a healthy and balanced diet. Your metabolism will stay high and your skin will be healthier. Choose foods that are rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. They will improve the condition of your skin and stimulate cell turnover, building stronger skin and reducing your chances of getting stretch marks.

There are many skin care and cosmetic products that work well on stretch marks. Those that have a higher concentration of vitamin A and vitamin E are great at preventing stretch marks from forming, and treating those that you may already have.

Some cosmetics and skin care products work against stretch marks, also. Those that are loaded with vitamins (such as vitamin A and vitamin E) are excellent at preventing stretch marks from forming, as well as treating ones that are already present.

Herbal remedies are a safe and natural way to improve the skin’s elasticity and smoothness. Preparations with olive oil, natural Vitamin E, aloe vera and Vitamin A work best when they are applied directly to the affected area. All of these ingredients work to moisturize the skin, making it more supple and strong.

Home remedies, while not as quick acting as a surgical procedure, can and do provide results. Things like oatmeal and egg whites will over time make stretch marks less noticeable, and new skin will grow in. With these slower-working remedies, you must be consistent to see results.

Stretch marks are something that most of us will have to deal with at some point. While there’s no way to ensure that you won’t get them, most people can minimize their chances by eating a balanced diet, working out regularly, and taking good care of their skin. It is possible to treat stretch marks, so don’t worry and don’t give up!

Ways of Preventing Stretch Marks During Pregnancy

Unsightly stretch marks, which are the scourge of nearly every pregnancy, can be treated in several ways, from otc stretch mark skincare treatments, diet and exercise to surgical stretch mark repair, like demabrasion, chemical peels and laser surgery. The red, purple and pink striations across the skin are exacerbated by dryness, a lack of vitamin A, C, and E together with zinc and protein deficiencies and not ingesting enough fluids. Because insurance does not cover cosmetic treatments to get rid of stretch marks, it is important that women endeavor to maintain a well-balanced diet, light exercise routine in addition to skin hydration during pregnancy.

The common cause of stretch marks is the stretching of the skin, increased cortisone production that weakens the skin’s elasticity and the disruption of collagen production. Usually, pregnancy or other weight gain causes the appearance of stretch marks. However, other folks might get these scars too. These include body builders, growing teenagers, those taking Corticosteroids or those with a hereditary disorder, including Cushing’s syndrome, Marfan syndrome or Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. People might be susceptible to these unsightly marks if they have dry skin, do not drink sufficient water, eat excess fatty foods, exercise too little or too much, take steroids, smoke or drink.

Although there are various supposed stretch mark removal treatment options available, most are at best only partially effectual. The least invasive treatment is the use of stretch mark creams like Tretinoin cream (Retin-A, Renova) that can help with new stretching during pregnancy. These creams work by rebuilding collagen with the effect of reducing stretch mark appearance. Also available for new marks is Pulsed Dye Laser Therapy or Fractional Photothermolysis, both of which use wavelengths of light to promote collagen and elastin growth. For older marks, Microdermabrasion uses a handheld device to buff the skin surface with crystals, thus removing skin cells from the top layer of skin to stimulate newer, more elastic skin growth. In addition, for older white marks, the Excimer laser attempts to encourage melanin production to reduce the appearance of the scars.

Currently, there is no guaranteed way of preventing pregnancy stretch marks and there are no magical remedies either. While there are a number of products marketed toward the reduction of stretch marks, there is no scientific grounds that suggest they really work. Maintaining overall health is the best thing an individual can do to maintain an attractive look, by exercising, eating a balanced diet, drinking eight glasses of water every day and applying a moisturizer cream on dry skin. Over time, these marks normally fade a bit on their own.
