These complications make many people wary of banding hemorrhoids.

Gifts For The Expectant Mother

If you know someone who is expecting a baby, here are some great ideas to give the expectant mom for her upcoming baby shower. You can team up with a friend to purchase one of the larger gifts or stick with something a little less expensive.

For the mom who is planning on breastfeeding, nothing will be more welcome than a good breast pump. You might think that only those who plan to continue breastfeeding after returning to work will have any need for a breast pump, but that is not the case. Breast pumps come in very handy when there is too much milk and it is not a good time to feed. They can also help keep the supply of milk from diminishing to the point where there is not enough to feed the baby.

If you want to get the best breast pump for your friend, you should choose a double electric breast pump. Electric pumps are usually faster and have more suction than battery-operated or manual pumps. Also, if manual pumps are used often they can cause soreness in the hands and wrists.

For the non-breastfeeding mother, how about a gift basket filled with products to help her pamper herself? After months of not feeling very pretty, products such as scented shower gel, skin care cream and scented oil are sure to be welcome. You could also put together a manicure and pedicure kit with all of the essential tools and a nice selection of polishes.

Of course, most people will be getting gifts for the baby, not for mom. A good idea for a baby gift is a bath set. You could get a baby tub and fill it with all of the items that are needed to bathe and care for the baby, such as baby shampoo, baby bath, baby oil and baby powder.

For something a little more memorable, a diaper cake is a great choice. If you have never seen a diaper cake, picture a wedding cake made by rolling diapers together to form the layers. Once you have each layer completed, secure it with a rubber band and tie a ribbon around each layer. Use a baby item to top it off and you’ve got a beautiful and practical baby gift.

Any expectant mother will be thrilled to receive these gifts, whether you decide to go with the breast pump, bath supplies or something else. No matter what you give, your friend will be grateful that you were there to help welcome her little one into the world.
